If you are using H&R Block At Home online:
- Sign in to your H&R Block At Home online account.
- On the Welcome Screen, under step 2. File Returns, click the Continue button.
- Select E-file. Click Next.

- Complete your purchase of the H&R Block At Home online program. On the Your Payment Was Successful screen, click the Next button.
- Proceed through the rest of the screens, and follow the instructions for e-filing your return.
If you are using H&R Block At Home software:
- Open your return.
- Click the File tab, and click the File Your Return tab.
- Click Next.
- Select the E-file option, and click Next.
- Proceed through the rest of the screens, and follow the instructions for e-filing your return.
Filing a State Return
Although H&R Block At Home allows you to e-file the state return and federal return separately, we recommend that you e-file them at the same time. If you choose to e-file them separately, you must e-file the federal return first, then wait for an IRS acknowledgment before e-filing the state return.
Up to 3 state returns can be e-filed per year.
